At Positive Shepherd, we are seeking two Mental Health Crisis Workers for wide-ranging schedules. This role emphasizes crisis intervention, risk assessment, and patient advocacy to help individuals facing mental health challenges. A commitment to anti-racist and anti-oppressive practices is essential for fostering an inclusive workplace.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct risk and suicide assessments for clients • Provide crisis counseling and symptom stabilization • Develop care plans and conduct crisis interventions • Collaborate with community service providers for effective referrals • Engage in continuous monitoring and evaluation of client support
Requirements: • Degree in social work, nursing, or related fields • 5 years’ experience in mental health and addictions • Previous crisis work experience is preferred • Fluency in a second language is an asset • CPR certification or willingness to obtain it
