Our valued client, a well-established boutique law firm, is seeking an experienced Immigration Legal Assistant to join its Calgary office. Its practice encompasses corporate, commercial, immigration, employment and litigation law. The firm takes pride in serving businesses, families and individuals with diligence and professionalism.

This prospect will appeal to an experienced Legal Assistant who enjoys continuous learning, takes pride in delivering exceptional client service and thrives in a collaborative, rapid-paced environment. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive administrative and file-management support to the firm’s immigration practice. Preparing, reviewing and organizing immigration applications, forms and supporting documentation
Monitoring application requirements, deadlines and important dates
Drafting and formatting correspondence, forms and other legal documents
Assisting with submissions to Immigration,



Refugees and Citizenship Canada and other applicable government bodies
Assisting with time entry, billing and general administrative duties
At least three years of experience working as a Legal Assistant within a law firm
Previous experience supporting an immigration law practice
A Legal Assistant diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Familiarity with Canadian immigration terminology, forms and application processes
Robust document-production and proofreading skills
Solid proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal document or practice-management systems. An additional health and wellness spending account
