Shillington McCall LLP is a downtown London firm with a thriving insurance defence practice. We are recruiting a full-time Legal Assistant/Law Clerk to join our tort/accident benefits team. While experience in insurance defence/personal injury is an asset, we know that our mentorship and training program provides the ability for a bright and motivated individual without such experience to thrive.

Experience in insurance defence litigation including tort and accident perks files an asset
Minimum of four to six years experience as a legal assistant/law clerk, preferably with LAT and accident advantages experience Post-secondary legal assistant or law clerk diploma or related discipline from an accredited institution
Thorough knowledge of the Rules of Civil Procedure
Knowledge of Actionstep Legal Accounting, NetDocuments, ACL and Microsoft Office an asset
Drafting summaries,



correspondence, pleadings, motion records, and other legal documents
Serving and filing court documents
Entering time into accounting software as required
Providing assistance to lawyers and law clerks with trial and hearing preparation including supporting with the compilation of records and briefs
Schedule: Monday to Friday
