WSP is seeking applications for a Geotechnical Field Technician ahead of an exciting oil sands project beginning in late 2026.
This role is essential for supporting protected project delivery through field investigations, soil testing, and monitoring activities. You'll work a two-weeks-in/two-weeks-out rotation, providing valuable hands-on experience in an impactful workplace. Key Responsibilities:
Promote safety culture in all field operations
Conduct construction monitoring and soil-property verification
Perform various geotechnical drilling investigations
Install and troubleshoot monitoring equipment
Communicate findings and coordinate with field teams Requirements:
Diploma/degree in Engineering Technology or related field
Practical experience in geotechnical fieldwork and testing
Knowledge of soil classification and construction practices
Familiarity with geotechnical instrumentation and data collection
