The successful candidate will play a key role in mentoring underwriters, strengthening broker relationships, and ensuring underwriting quality and profitability across the portfolio.While prior management titles are not mandatory, candidates must bring demonstrated leadership experience (formal or informal).What You'll Be Doing Lead, coach, and develop a team of commercial underwriters, fostering performance, engagement, and qualified growthProvide underwriting guidance and oversight on complex construction and contracting risksMaintain accountability for underwriting quality, profitability, and adherence to guidelinesCollaborate closely with brokers to structure solutions tailored to mid-market commercial clientsSupport change initiatives, workflow improvements, and best-practice adoptionParticipate in key broker meetings and maintain a visible presence within the office and local marketAct as a trusted resource across underwriting, claims,
