Key Responsibilities
Apply advanced technical principles, theories, and concepts within the instrumentation and controls discipline, while maintaining a working knowledge of related engineering fields.
Analyze and resolve a broad range of complex technical challenges with minimal supervision, developing effective and practical engineering solutions.
Collaborate with clients, vendors, and contractors, and provide support for field activities, investigations, start-up, and commissioning efforts.
Work closely with Engineers, Designers, and Project Managers from multiple disciplines as an integral member of a collaborative project delivery team.
Develop designs, specifications, and technical documentation for instrumentation and control systems, with a solid focus on DCS and PLC-based applications.
Prepare instrumentation and process control system designs and specifications for a variety of industrial processes.
Ensure all engineering deliverables and project documentation are accurate, complete, and compliant with COOEC quality assurance and quality control requirements.

Qualifications




Minimum 8 years of Instrumentation & Controls (I&C;) design experience within the oil and gas industry.
Proficiency with SPI (SmartPlant Instrumentation) is required.
Solid written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary workplace.
Experience in PLC and DCS system design and implementation.
Familiarity with electrical equipment and systems, including MCCs, VFDs, and EHT systems.
Experience with Fire & Gas (F&G;) systems and associated field devices.
Working knowledge of DeltaV DCS and CHARMS technology.
Ability to interpret and work with instrumentation layouts, field drawings, and related engineering documentation.
Experience developing wiring diagrams and loop diagrams.
Field experience, including turnaround planning, package development, and turnaround execution support, is considered an asset.
Adhere to company procedures, engineering standards, and established industry best practices.
