Enable student success as a Casual Learning Support Worker with School District No. 91 in Fort St. James. Provide essential support for students with individualized educational needs. This role entails collaborating with staff to assist in various educational programs and ensuring that students receive the necessary advocacy and support.
The position is casual with no guaranteed hours, allowing for flexible engagement in educational settings. Your involvement will make a difference in students' lives. Key Responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively with staff to meet student requirements
- Support both group and individual education delivery
- Actively participate as a student advocate in school teams
- Help implement and manage individualized learning plans
- Create an inclusive and engaging learning setting
Requirements:
- Completion of Grade 12 (Dogwood Certificate)
- Completion of an Education Assistant Certificate program
- Minimum 6 months experience supporting children/youth
- Must have a valid BC Class 5 Driver’s License
- WHMIS 2015 Certificate and safety procedure knowledge
