Sam’s Vape and Sam’s Pot are looking for a reliable, friendly, and customer-focused Retail Associate to join our team on a casual, part-time, and on-call basis.

This position will provide shift coverage for both Sam’s Vape and Sam’s Pot in Englehart. Employees will only be working at one store at a time and will be assigned to whichever location requires coverage for that particular shift.

This is a flexible position that is ideal for someone who enjoys working with customers and is looking for a position where additional hours may be available depending on business needs.

We are looking for someone who is dependable, punctual, professional, and comfortable working independently.

Responsibilities

- Provide friendly and professional customer service
- Assist customers with product questions and general inquiries
- Operate the POS system and process transactions accurately
- Handle cash and maintain accurate cash procedures
- Verify customer identification and age, must be able to read ID accurately
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming store
- Restock and organize merchandise
- Receive and organize inventory as required
- Assist with opening and closing procedures
- Follow all company policies and procedures
- Follow all applicable laws and regulations for regulated retail
- Communicate effectively with management and other employees
- Provide shift coverage when required
- Work independently when scheduled
- Perform other general retail duties as required
- Help maintain social media profiles while following applicable laws & regulations

- Able to pass a Criminal background check ( within 6 months )

- Comfortable handling cash and using a POS system
- Detail-oriented and organized
- Willing to learn about our products and services
- Flexible and available to cover shifts when needed

Previous retail or customer-service experience is an asset. Experience in vape, cannabis, convenience, or other regulated retail environments is also an asset, but training will be provided to the right candidate. Availability & Scheduling

This is a casual / part-time / on-call position, so flexibility is an important part of the job.

The successful candidate may be contacted to provide coverage for:

- Regular scheduled shifts
- Evening shifts
- Weekend shifts
- Employee vacations
- Sick-day coverage
- Last-minute or short-notice shift coverage

Hours can be up to 40 hours per week, depending on business needs, available shifts, and the employee's availability. There may be opportunities for more consistent or additional hours for the right candidate.

Key

Although the position provides coverage for both Sam’s Vape and Sam’s Pot, employees will only work at one location per shift. The location will be communicated when the shift is scheduled.

Because this is an on-call position, applicants should be comfortable with a schedule that can vary from week to week.

Compensation

$18.00–$20.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
