Lead the Port Hope Public Library as its Chief Executive Officer and Chief Librarian. This pivotal role focuses on innovation and strategic community engagement in a dynamic public library setting. You will work directly with the Library Board to oversee all operations and implement long-term plans. With a focus on fiscal responsibility and leveraging modern technologies, you’ll promote both community service and operational excellence tailored to Port Hope’s needs. Key Responsibilities:

- Collaborate with the Board to establish strategic objectives
- Maintain compliance with the Public Libraries Act and regulations
- Build strong relationships across the community and municipal leaders
- Direct and inspire a dedicated unionized library team
- Initiate fundraising efforts and write grant proposals

Requirements:

- Master of Library and Information Science (or equivalent)
- Five years of progressive experience in library management
- Minimum three years in a public library setting
- In-depth understanding of Ontario library standards
- Strong financial literacy and presentation skills
