,About the Opportunity
MegaCourts is seeking a qualified and motivated Personal Trainer or Strength & Conditioning Coach to provide morning training services on a part-time contract basis.
This position is ideal for a trainer who enjoys working with a variety of clients, including general fitness clients, youth athletes, and recreational or competitive athletes. The successful candidate will have opportunities to deliver one-on-one personal training, semi-private training, group fitness classes, and athletic-development sessions.
All training services operate within MegaCourts’ broader athletic-development system. The trainer will receive paid weekly mentorship and programming support from the Director of Athletic Development, who oversees programming standards across all training services.
Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, professional, and engaging morning training sessions
- Coach one-on-one personal training clients
- Lead semi-private sessions for small groups
- Lead group fitness and strength-and-conditioning classes
- Assist with youth athletic-development programming and Mega Performance Academy sessions
- Assess client needs and appropriately modify exercises
- Develop or contribute to individualized and group training programs
- Maintain accurate client and session records
- Communicate professionally with clients, parents, staff, and facility leadership
- Follow MegaCourts’ safety procedures, programming standards, and professional expectations
- Participate in weekly paid mentorship, programming review and professional development
Required Qualifications
- Valid personal-training, strength-and-conditioning or equivalent recognized certification
- Current CPR and AED certification
- Experience delivering personal training or group fitness sessions
- Solid communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills
- Availability to work early mornings
- Willingness to work within MegaCourts’ programming and service standards
Before providing any training services, the successful applicant must provide:
- Proof of valid training certification
- Proof of current CPR/AED certification
- Proof of professional liability insurance
- A satisfactory criminal record check
Preferred Qualifications and Experience
- Experience developing and implementing training programs
- Experience coaching youth athletes
- Background in strength and conditioning, athletic development or sport performance
- Knowledge of biomechanics, exercise selection and movement fundamentals
- Experience working with recreational or competitive athletes
- Experience with pickleball, tennis or other racquet-sport athletes
- Ability to coach both general-population clients and athletes
- Interest in continued learning, mentorship and professional development
