Join Baffinland as an Environmental Regulatory Specialist and contribute to iron ore mining in Nunavut. This role emphasizes regulatory reporting, environmental compliance, and management support. As part of Baffinland's dedicated team, you will report to the Environmental Superintendent. You will spearhead the regulatory report coordination required for our Project operations while ensuring adherence to all relevant environmental legislation.
Your role involves collaborating with technical specialists to uphold the Environmental Management System and mentoring junior staff in compliance practices. Key Responsibilities:
Develop regulatory reports and applications for project operations
Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and legislation
Oversee environmental monitoring program implementations
Review project documents for regulatory compliance
Maintain corrective action register for operational personnel Requirements:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental science or engineering
Significant experience in environmental regulatory reporting
Familiarity with Nunavut regulatory frameworks preferred
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
