Support students with challenging behaviors as a Behaviour Intervention Mentor in Miramichi Area Schools. This temporary role focuses on evidence-based interventions to enhance student outcomes.
The Behaviour Intervention
Mentor will work within school teams to implement activities and strategies that assist students in overcoming behavioral challenges. This role requires collaboration with educators and other specialists to foster social skills, communication, and resilience in students. Additionally, the mentor will provide necessary training on conflict and anger management to school personnel and participate in developing intervention plans. Key Responsibilities:
Assist educators in implementing behavior management strategies
Develop and conduct individual or group interventions
Provide training on conflict management and observation techniques
Collaborate with mental health and educational professionals
Support in case management for behavior intervention plans Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, or education
Knowledge of behavior management and applied behavior analysis
Additional training in crisis intervention is an asset
Valid driver's license is required
Equivalent combination of experience may be considered Utilize your expertise in behavior management to improve classroom outcomes for students at Miramichi Area Schools.
