Join Taproot Community Support Services as a dedicated Child and Youth Worker in Vancouver. This full time role focuses on providing care, support, and skill development for children in a trauma-informed environment. As a key part of the team, your mission will involve caring for children under 12 with behavioral challenges at Current Leaf House.
You'll assess needs, create personalized plans, and foster positive relationships to promote growth and safety. With over 800 employee-owners, Taproot values collaboration and a robust commitment to community care. Key Responsibilities:
Assess and set goals for individual care plans
Teach social skills using daily activities
Monitor safety and well-being of children
Provide behavior management counseling and support
Accompany youth to community appointments Requirements:
Child and Youth Care Degree or related education
Minimum of two years relevant experience
Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License
Certifications in First Aid and CPR
