Join the Occupational Health and Safety Division as a skilled Electrical Engineer in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. Lead safety compliance efforts and conduct essential inspections across the province. In this permanent role with the Government of Nova Scotia, you will leverage your expertise in electrical engineering while focusing on occupational health and safety.
You are expected to work independently, managing critical decisions and regulatory recommendations while ensuring adherence to electrical safety standards. This role requires thorough knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code and relevant provincial regulations. Key Responsibilities:
Review document filings and safety submissions
Conduct in office inspections of workplaces
Advise on law development related to electrical safety
Provide technical support to Health and Safety Officers
Develop interpretation guides for internal and external clients Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
Minimum 6 years of related work experience
Registered with Engineers Nova Scotia or eligible
Knowledge of NS Occupational Health and Safety Act
