Contribute your planning expertise to the City of North Vancouver as a Planner 2 in Development Planning. This temporary, full time role involves reviewing applications and leading complex urban development projects. The City of North Vancouver is actively seeking a temporary Planner 2 for a six-month assignment.

This role is perfect for a current planning skilled with a solid background in land use policies and urban design. You will guide the review of Official Community Plans and development applications while engaging with community members and coordinating the city’s responses. Key Responsibilities:
Review complex Official Community Plans and rezoning applications
Lead public engagement processes for development proposals




Negotiate amenities and review consultant studies
Prepare Council reports and present findings
Supervise technical and professional staff as needed Requirements:
University degree in relevant field
Post-graduate degree in Community/Regional Planning/Urban Design
Solid urban design and communication skills
Experience in development planning and project management
