We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Class 1 Truck Driver to join our transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating heavy-duty commercial trucks to transport freight across various routes. Your expertise in heavy equipment operation, automotive repair knowledge, and commitment to safety will ensure timely deliveries and excellent service.

Responsibilities

- Safely operate Class 1 commercial trucks, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Transport freight efficiently between distribution centers, warehouses, and customer locations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, including checks on brakes, tires, lights, and load security.
- Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment when necessary, ensuring proper handling and securement.
- Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, including delivery logs, inspection reports, and freight manifests.




- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding schedules, delivery status, and any issues encountered during transit.
- Perform minor automotive repairs or troubleshooting as needed to ensure vehicle readiness and safety.

Qualifications

- Valid Class 1 Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience in commercial driving, preferably with heavy-duty trucks or similar vehicles.
- Ability to operate forklifts and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures and load securement techniques.
- Basic automotive repair skills for routine maintenance checks and troubleshooting.
- Strong commitment to safety protocols and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
