Pangea, a groundbreaking pod hotel in the heart of Whistler’s pedestrian village, is looking for front of house staff who can make our guests feel special. As “bartender, barista and server in one”, you’ll be at the front line of our operations, interacting with guests on a personal level and ensuring they leave Pangea having had an unforgettable experience.

You’ll be an outgoing, charismatic individual capable of engaging with an international clientele. You’ll be confident talking to guests, having an ability to converse on just about any subject – especially if it it involves skiing, boarding, biking or travel in general. Most essentially, you’ll deliver first-class service with a personal touch.

Naturally, our front of house staff need to be warm and welcoming, even in difficult circumstances. That’s why you’re a “people person” – energetic, enthusiastic, courteous and diplomatic. Needless to say, you’re a team-player, always looking to pitch in to help other Pangea People wherever needed.

Competitive compensation, starting at $21.25/hr (= $18.25/hr base wage + retention bonus of 3 dollars for each hour worked) plus cash tips

REQUIREMENTS.
Must have current eligibility to work legally in Canada
We hire for attitude and train for skills, meaning experience as a bartender, barista or server isn’t strictly necessary for this role; having a positive outlook and a warm, friendly nature is, however, non-negotiable (that’s something we can’t teach)
Must be confident conversing with guests
Language skills a bonus
