GT Metal Products is looking for a Journeyman CWB Welder/Fitter with advanced skills when it comes to the welding and fitting of structural components of all complexities, plate work, tanks, and miscellaneous items. GT Metal Products strives to achieve the highest quality workmanship on all projects. Applicants must be highly proficient in the following, but not limited to:

· Lay out reference points, and patterns.

· Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, and blueprints.

· Can work off of metric and imperial drawings.

· Extensive plate, structural, and miscellaneous welding experience whether it be a small or large project.

· Assemble and fit plates, structural steel, miscellaneous components, and sections to form structures to tight tolerances.

· Weld structural components for buildings, and other load-carrying structures

· Possess a current CWB “Classification S or T” FCAW ticket with a minimum position of Horizontal having been achieved.

· Experience using overhead cranes and forklifts.

· Above average welding skills using FCAW, and GMAW processes is a necessity.





· Ability to clean/finish all completed welds with zero spatter, zero deficiencies, and zero defects over and above the required code, across the entire project.

· Experience related to GTAW (Stainless/Aluminum) will be considered an advantage.

· Actively involved in maintaining GT Metal Products QA/QC policies and procedures.

· Ensure products are produced on time.

· Ensure Health & Safety guidelines are followed at all times.

· Maintain housekeeping habits at all times.

Fast-paced setting; team oriented approach, physically demanding; attention to detail; overtime required as needed.
