Greenland has undertaken many integrated climate change impact, watershed planning and Class Environmental Assessments (EA) infrastructure projects. First and foremost, Greenland is an infrastructure design and construction management firm with integrated environmental engineering and related software development expertise. Greenland offers second-to-none capabilities in developing the “next evolution” of web-based Decision Support Systems (DSS) in partnership with universities.

Industry recognized tools have included the first Environment Canada watershed systems database packages; Visual OTTHYMO© (a Canadian stormwater management model); and, proprietary Internet - GIS modeling platforms, such as CANWET™, THREATS™ and ISWMS™. Company growth and new technology targets have also been achieved involving private and public sectors, as well as trusted / respectful partnerships with Canada’s Indigenous Peoples.

Description of Co-op / Full-Time Position

Greenland is seeking in-house team compatible and agile individuals to work from our “4-Seasons work – lifestyle balance” head office in Collingwood, Ontario.



Both of the opportunities are fixed term 8-month term contracts to begin on January 4, 2027.

Candidates must meet the following minimum requirements:

· Currently enrolled / studying B.Sc. Degree in Civil, Environmental or Water Resources Engineering from a recognized post-secondary institution; and,

· Basic knowledge of water resources, municipal infrastructure, subdivision and site plan projects.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

· Assist with as-required site inspections, and “scoped” topographic and site surveys;

· Assist with the completion of site plan and subdivision drawings for land development projects through to approval;

· Assist with the completion of road design, sanitary and water main drawings for municipal infrastructure projects through to approval;

· Assist with the preparation of expressions of interest, proposals and final reports in support of final engineering submissions;

· Complete cost estimates, specifications, and contract administration for municipal infrastructure and land development related projects;

· Assist with project presentations, including Pubic Information Centre’s, Municipal Committees and Councils;

· Assist with delivery or pick up of drawings to printers and approving agencies; and,

· Other duties as assigned.

To be successful in this role, the candidate must possess the following skillset:

· Organized individual capable of producing results and meeting timelines;

· Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills;

· Valid driver’s license is considered an asset;

· Refined analytical and problem - solving skills;

· Ability to work both independently and as part of a team;

· Ability to effectively multi-task and work in a fast paced,



high change environment; and,

· Good initiative and attention to detail.

Pay: $26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 – 44.0 per week
