Roots 2 Rocks Property Care is hiring experienced Commercial Snow Removal Equipment Operators for the upcoming winter season.

Our winter operation services a growing portfolio of commercial properties throughout Moncton, Dieppe, Riverview and surrounding areas.

We are looking for dependable operators who can work independently, operate equipment safely and efficiently, follow established route instructions and maintain a professional standard throughout an entire snow event.

Previous skilled equipment-operating experience is required. Commercial snow-removal experience is strongly preferred.

Important Schedule and Availability Information:

This is a seasonal, weather-dependent, on-call position. Weekly hours will vary based on snowfall, storm duration and operational requirements. A minimum number of weekly hours cannot be guaranteed.

Snow and ice events can occur at any time, including:

- Days
- Nights
- Early mornings
- Weekends
- Holidays

Applicants must have dependable availability throughout the winter season. When scheduled for an event, operators must respond to company communications, report as required and remain available until their assigned route or work has been completed. This position is not suitable for someone whose regular employment or other commitments would repeatedly prevent them from attending daytime, overnight, weekend or holiday snow events.

We understand that legitimate emergencies happen; however, repeated unavailability, missed call-outs, lateness or no-shows are not compatible with this position.

Responsibilities:

- Operate commercial snow-removal equipment
- Clear commercial parking lots, drive lanes and designated service areas
- Operate loaders, tractors, plow trucks,



skid steers or other assigned equipment
- Perform clearing during active storms and complete post-storm cleanup
- Apply salt or sand when assigned
- Follow site maps, route plans and property-specific instructions
- Maintain awareness of curbs, islands, parked vehicles, buildings and other obstacles
- Place snow only in approved locations
- Perform required pre-trip and equipment inspections
- Report mechanical concerns, site incidents or damage immediately
- Keep assigned equipment reasonably clean and ready for the next event
- Communicate with supervisors throughout each snow event
- Complete assigned properties efficiently while maintaining quality standards
- Follow company safety procedures and winter operating policies

Required Qualifications

Applicants must:

- Have previous professional equipment-operating experience
- Be dependable and available when snow and ice events occur
- Be comfortable working overnight and during extended storm events
- Be able to work independently and make sound operating decisions
- Have good judgement around vehicles, buildings, curbs and other obstacles
- Understand efficient clearing patterns and proper snow placement
- Follow detailed property instructions and route plans
- Communicate effectively with supervisors
- Treat company equipment responsibly
- Have reliable transportation to report for scheduled shifts




- Have a reliable phone and remain reachable during snow events
- Hold a valid driver’s licence
- Be prepared to provide employment references
- Be willing to complete a practical equipment-operating assessment

Experience with one or more of the following is preferred:

- Wheel loaders equipped with snow blades or pushers
- Agricultural tractors equipped with snow blades or pushers
- Pickup trucks equipped with commercial snowplows
- Skid steers or compact equipment
- Salt and sand application equipment

Probationary Period All new employees begin with a probationary period. Attendance, availability, punctuality, communication, safety, equipment handling, productivity and quality of work will be evaluated during this time.

We provide commercial and residential property maintenance, landscaping and winter services. Our winter operation includes snow clearing and de-icing across a growing portfolio of commercial properties.

Pay: $24.00-$28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 40.0 per week
