Art Space and Design Galleries is seeking a dependable, skilled, and detail-oriented Professional Art Framer to join our dynamic team. This position is ideal for someone with a robust eye for craftsmanship, who is passionate about the arts and capable of supporting both framing and general gallery maintenance work. You'll work closely with a team of talented professionals in a creative and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Professionally frame and stretch a wide variety of artwork to gallery standards
Assist in the installation and display of artwork within the gallery and off-site venues
Handle general gallery maintenance and renovations including drywall, painting, and basic repairs
Safely transport artwork using a personal truck or large vehicle
Evaluate and interpret layout plans, cost estimates, and timelines for framing and display projects
Source appropriate materials for framing and ensure alignment with quality and cost standards
Collaborate with the gallery team to coordinate artwork handling and installation logistics




Provide tools and rental equipment as required to complete framing and installation projects
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
Uphold all safety regulations and gallery protocols
Represent the gallery with professionalism and provide excellent customer service to clients and artists
Be available for occasional evening installations within the Calgary area

Qualifications:
Proven experience in art framing and artwork handling
Skilled in general trades: painting, drywall, light repairs
Ability to lift and move large artworks safely
Solid organizational and problem-solving skills
Reliable transportation capable of moving artwork (truck or large vehicle required)
Excellent communication and time management skills
A keen eye for detail and pride in craftsmanship
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
