Job Summary

We are seeking energetic and reliable Class 5 drivers to operate half-ton trucks, delivering goods efficiently and safely across various locations. This role offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about driving and physical work, with a focus on timely deliveries and excellent customer service. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for handling deliveries with precision, ensuring all cargo is transported securely and in accordance with safety standards.

Responsibilities
Safely operate half-ton trucks equipped for local or regional deliveries, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
Load and unload cargo, often requiring heavy lifting to secure items properly in the truck
Plan delivery routes to optimize efficiency and meet scheduled deadlines
Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in optimal working condition
Maintain accurate delivery documentation, including manifests and delivery receipts




Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to coordinate delivery times and resolve any issues promptly
Ensure cargo is secured correctly to prevent damage during transit

Skills
Proven experience in driving Class 5 vehicles, especially half-ton trucks
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during loading and unloading processes
Solid knowledge of traffic laws, safety procedures, and vehicle maintenance basics
Excellent time management skills to meet delivery schedules consistently
Valuable communication skills for interacting with team members and customers
Attention to detail for accurate documentation and vehicle inspections
