Join the Ontario Crops Research Centre as an Agronomy Assistant, conducting impactful research trials from September to November. This temporary part time role emphasizes field research in agriculture across various disciplines. Reporting directly to the Research Manager for Northern and Eastern Ontario at the Current Liskeard Agricultural Research Station, you will assist with research trials including cultivar evaluations for crops such as soybeans, wheat, and corn.

Key tasks include data collection, harvesting, and crop planting, providing a hands-on experience in the agricultural research field. Key Responsibilities:
Assist with field research and trials of various crops
Conduct final data collection and processing of samples




Support in the planting of fall crops as needed
Work safely around field and research equipment
Collaborate effectively with team members on research projects Requirements:
2-year diploma or degree in agriculture or relevant field
Minimum 9 months of field experience or willingness to learn
Familiarity with Microsoft Office programs
Ability to lift 30 pounds and work in various weather
