One of our manufacturing clients near Tecumseh, ON location is looking for an experienced Controls Engineer to join their manufacturing team.

Pay - $110-$115K

Responsibilities:
Complete projects according to established schedules while meeting quality and regulatory standards.
Design and program custom automation solutions in collaboration with Mechanical Engineering and Manufacturing teams.
Continuously improve controls design and programming methods to enhance safety, functionality, and cost efficiency.
Work with Sales, Estimating, Project Management, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Management teams to ensure successful project execution.
Attend project kickoff meetings to understand project scope and requirements.
Liaise with vendors to obtain technical information and specifications.
Participate in post-project review meetings to compare quoted versus completed project results.
Travel as required.

Qualifications:




5 years of experience in custom factory automation, including at least two (2) years of controls design and programming experience from project inception.
Technical knowledge of manufacturing processes and factory automation is considered an asset.
Post-secondary education in Electronics, Electrical, or Controls Technology with a focus on factory automation.
Solid computer, problem-solving, organizational, and coaching skills, with the ability to meet deadlines.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in PLC, HMI, robotics programming, and AutoCAD. Experience with Siemens TIA Portal, Allen-Bradley, Omron, Fanuc, KUKA, ABB, and/or Nachi programming platforms is preferred.
Experience with Cognex and Keyence vision systems is preferred.
