We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Massage Therapist to join our wellness team. The ideal candidate will provide skilled massage therapy services aimed at promoting relaxation, alleviating pain, and enhancing overall well-being for clients. This role offers an chance to work in a serene setting along with team of other healthcare professionals. Candidates should possess excellent communication skills and a strong understanding of medical terminology related to massage therapy.
Responsibilities
Perform professional massage therapy sessions tailored to individual client needs, including Swedish, deep tissue, and other therapeutic techniques.
Assess client conditions and discuss treatment goals to develop personalized therapy plans.
Maintain a clean, safe, and relaxing workplace for clients before, during, and after sessions.
Educate clients on post-treatment care and recommend appropriate follow-up therapies if necessary.
Keep detailed records of treatments provided and monitor client progress over time.
Adhere to all health and safety regulations,
including proper sanitation procedures.
Communicate effectively with clients to ensure comfort and address any concerns or questions they may have.
Skills
CMTO registration in good standing.
Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to anatomy, physiology, and massage therapy techniques.
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to create a welcoming and trusting workplace for clients.
Effective communication skills to clearly explain treatment procedures and listen attentively to client needs.
Ability to work independently while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.
Physical stamina and dexterity necessary for performing various massage techniques over extended periods.
Prior experience in a wellness or healthcare setting is preferred but not required; training will be provided as needed.
