About Us:

Position Summary:
We are seeking caring, reliable Respite Workers to provide in-home and community-based respite support for individuals with developmental disabilities, ASD, and complex needs. Shifts may vary and are scheduled based on family needs and your availability.

Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct care, supervision, and support in alignment with individual care plans.
Engage clients in meaningful activities such as games, community outings, crafts, or walks.
Assist with personal care (toileting, feeding, dressing) as required.
Use positive behaviour support strategies and maintain a calm, qualified approach.
Ensure a safe environment while promoting independence and choice.
Complete documentation and communicate with the team as required.
Deescalate aggressive behavior's and situations.

Requirements:




Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or in a caregiving role (preferred).
Comfortable supporting clients with high needs, including those with aggressive behaviors or self-injurious behaviors (training provided).
Valid CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
Clear Vulnerable Sector Check (or willingness to obtain).

Pay: $19.00-$21.00 per hour
