PRODUCTION WORKER/GENERAL LABOUR

Location: 16 Fair Rd, Guelph, ON N1K 0A1
Type of Employment: Hourly, full time hours, Monday to Friday with the occasional Saturday possible

General Labourers are essential members of our operation. Without them, we would not be able to grow at the scale we do. General labourers are taught the skills necessary to work safely and efficiently, and they are expected to perform a wide array of tasks. A general labour will often be assigned to specific tasks that are most suited towards their skill set.

General Production Duties:
Prepare meat product(s) for further processing and packaging – examples may include, but are not limited to, seasoning meat, portioning product, preparing for packing, etc.
Packing boxes with finished product – labelling, sealing boxes, wrapping skids for shipment, lifting and moving boxes (up to 50lbs)




Keeping a clean and transparent workspace
Work in compliance of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Health & Safety policies and procedures, Food Safety and HACCP policies and procedures, and all other company policies and procedures.
Other production duties as required

Workplace Conditions and Job Requirements:
The production area is a cold workplace, with temperatures ranging between 2°C - 7°C
Will be working with Pork products
Must be able to stand/walk for extended periods of time
Ability to perform repetitive tasks
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
Scheduling is based on the production schedule, and therefore hours can fluctuate week to week - All hours worked over 44 hours/week are paid time and a half (in accordance with the Employment Standards Act, 2000)
Safety shoes are required, and all other Personal Protective Equipment will be provided
Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
