Position Overview

As a Contents Technician, you will be the face of Excel Restoration for clients who have experienced property damage. You will be responsible for documenting, packing, transporting, and managing personal and commercial contents affected by loss. This role requires solid attention to detail, physical capability, and a customer-first mindset.

Key Responsibilities
Compile detailed photos and written inventory of affected contents
Conduct thorough assessments of affected areas
Safely pack and transport items from loss sites to storage or cleaning facilities
Identify claim damaged content and document accordingly
Dispose of non-restorable items in accordance with company and environmental guidelines
Retrieve and deliver stored items as needed
Be able to walk, stand, climb ladders and lift up-to 30lbs for prolonged periods
Maintain cleanliness and organization of warehouse and off-site storage units
Communicate professionally with clients, insurance adjusters, and team members




Follow all safety protocols, including PPE usage and hazard awareness

Qualifications
Previous experience in restoration, moving, or cleaning industries
Physically fit and able to lift/move heavy items and work in challenging environments
Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces
Willingness to work in compromised conditions (e.g., mould, smoke, contaminated water)
High school diploma or equivalent
Clean criminal record check
Valid Class 5 driver’s license with clean abstract (preferred)
IICRC certifications (e.g., WRT, AMRT, CDS) are an asset
Strong work ethic, punctuality, and integrity
Qualified appearance and demeanor

Skills & Abilities
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team
Robust organizational skills and attention to detail
Problem-solving mindset and adaptability to changing priorities
Familiarity with restoration industry terminology and practices
Valid Class-5 driver's license is MANDATORY

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00-$28.00 per hour
