Recycle-It Resource Recovery is currently looking for an individual to join our team to assist with operations in the warehouse.

This is a full time position with a Monday to Friday schedule from 8:30am - 5:00pm.

Responsibilities include:
Movement and processing of recyclable materials
Baling incoming loads of recyclable material (e.g. cardboard, plastics, etc)
Sorting and removing any contamination from incoming loads
Assist the equipment operator with loading recyclable materials into trailers with the use of forklifts or skid steers
Provide on-site litter control in order to maintain a clean and welcoming workplace
Operate equipment (such as a skid steer, forklift or baler) in a safe manner with adherence to customer and employee safety.
Assurance that all materials stacked and moved in a safe manner
Operations of material handling equipment in a protected manner with adherence to customer and employee safety
Accurate completion of reports associated with warehouse work and materials handling




Daily compliance to equipment pre-trip and equipment maintenance schedules
Helping the Depot staff in busy periods
Any other duties as assigned

Skills:
Demonstrates a calm demeanour during periods of high volume or unusual events
Works well independently and effectively to delegate tasks so work plans are implemented and monitored
Be able to manage time effectively and successfully
An ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods of time
Current forklift certification is an asset but not a requirement
Previous experience working in a transfer station or recycling depot considered an asset but is not required

Job Types: Full time, Permanent

Pay: $25.00-$28.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
