Morning Shift Sales Associate to join our team at our Kanata location. In this role, you will be the face of our gas station during the busy morning rush, ensuring local commuters start their day right. You will handle fuel and convenience store transactions, keep the station clean and well-stocked, and provide friendly service. Because our store sells age-restricted items, having a valid Smart Serve Certification (or the ability to obtain one immediately upon hire) is a mandatory requirement for this position.Responsibilities
Customer Service: Greet customers warmly, process transactions efficiently, and assist with any inquiries or issues.
Point of Sale (POS) Operation: Handle cash, credit, debit, and mobile payments accurately. Manage fuel prepayments and verify pumps.
Regulated Product Sales: Safely and legally process lottery, tobacco, and any other age-restricted products in strict accordance with Ontario regulations.
Inventory & Merchandising:



Restock shelves, coolers, and coffee stations to ensure morning commuters have access to fresh products.
Station Upkeep: Maintain the cleanliness of the interior store, counter space, and exterior pump areas. Take out trash and ensure a welcoming workplace.
Opening Duties: Complete early morning safety checklists, count the starting cash drawer, and ensure fresh coffee is brewed.

Experience & Qualifications
Certification: Must possess a valid Smart Serve Certification or be willing to complete the certification program before your first official day of work.
Experience: Previous retail, cash-handling, or gas station/convenience store experience is preferred but not required—we will train the right candidate.
Skills: Robust basic mathematical skills for accurate cash handling and making change.
Reliability: Must have reliable transportation to ensure punctual arrival for the 7:00 AM sharp start time in Kanata.
Communication: Excellent verbal communication skills in English.

Pay: $17.60 per hour
