Make a positive impact as a Community Justice Outreach Worker with the Government of Nunavut. This role focuses on restorative justice, community liaison, and crime prevention initiatives. As a crucial member of the team, you will coordinate the Community Justice Committee's work on diversions and facilitate awareness of the Family Abuse Intervention Act.
Your responsibilities include engaging with various community stakeholders, increasing public confidence in Community Justice, and supporting crime prevention efforts. Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate restorative justice referrals for community members
- Increase awareness of Family Abuse Intervention Act
- Liaise with RCMP, Community Corrections, and Family Services
- Promote community involvement in justice programs
- Provide executive support and reports for committee initiatives
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3 years of related work experience
- Knowledge of Inuit culture and communities
- Fluency in Inuktut, English, or French preferred
- Satisfactory Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector Checks
