A Richmond-based skincare manufacturer with over 30 years of experience is looking for a reliable and motivated Lab Technician to join our R&D; team.

Reporting to the R&D; Manager, the Lab Technician will assist with skincare formulation, laboratory testing, stability studies and general R&D; activities.

Responsibilities:
Assist with development of new skincare products
Prepare small-scale R&D; batches and customer samples
Perform routine testing such as pH, viscosity, appearance and density
Conduct and monitor stability testing
Record test results and maintain R&D; batch records
Assist with formulation adjustments and troubleshooting
Maintain raw material inventory and organize laboratory supplies
Clean and maintain laboratory equipment and work areas
Support R&D; and SR&ED; projects as required
Other laboratory duties as assigned

Qualifications
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Technology, Cosmetic Science or a related field




Previous laboratory experience is preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply
Basic knowledge of laboratory equipment such as pH meters, viscometers, balances and mixers
Comfortable with basic chemical calculations
Positive attention to detail and organizational skills
Able to follow instructions and maintain accurate records
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Knowledge of skincare ingredients or formulation is an asset
