Responsibilities
Safely operate Class 1 commercial trucks to transport freight over short and long distances, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, including checking brakes, lights, tires, and load security
Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment when necessary, ensuring proper handling and placement of cargo
Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, pickups, and vehicle logs in compliance with company policies and legal requirements
Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse personnel,



and clients to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any issues promptly
Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting as needed to keep vehicles in optimal condition
Follow safety protocols diligently to prevent accidents and ensure a secure working setting

Skills
Valid Class 1 commercial driver’s license with a clean driving record
Experience operating heavy equipment such as Flatdeck and Dryan and other loading machinery
Knowledge of freight handling procedures and secure load practices
Ability to perform basic automotive repairs and troubleshoot mechanical issues
Solid understanding of safety regulations related to commercial driving and heavy equipment operation
Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients
Physical stamina to handle loading/unloading tasks and long hours on the road
