Duties & Responsibilities
Complete Commercial Vehicle Inspections when authorized and perform required repairs on commercial trailers and vehicles.
Inspect, service, and repair Transport Canada B620 tanks.
Maintain and repair fleet equipment, with the majority of work focused on commercial trailers.
Complete trailer body, frame, and structural repairs to keep equipment secure and service-ready.
Perform aluminum welding and custom fabrication for trailer and tank repair work.
Troubleshoot mechanical issues and support day-to-day repair priorities in the shop.

Requirements
Required:
- Proven hands-on experience repairing and maintaining commercial trailers, transport vehicles, or similar fleet equipment.




Red Seal Commercial Transport Vehicle Mechanic or Transport Trailer Technician certification, 3rd or 4th year apprenticeship status, or comparable hands-on industry experience with the willingness to obtain trade certification.
Willingness to obtain BC Authorized Inspector certification for Commercial Vehicle Inspections once trade-qualified.
Hands-on experience with trailer body and frame repair, fleet maintenance, and mechanical repairs.
Strong troubleshooting skills, secure work habits, and ability to work productively in a small, hands-on repair shop.
Preferred:
- Current BC Authorized Inspector certification for Commercial Vehicle Inspections.
Aluminum welding experience.
Experience inspecting or repairing Transport Canada B620 tanks.
Hydraulic system troubleshooting and repair experience.
PJ1 Compensation:
$40.00 – $55.00/hour based on experience and qualifications
