1 REGISTERED PRACTICAL NURSE (RPN) Full time/12 month contract (40hrs a week)

Monarch Recovery Services provides support to people needing assistance to be able to participate in treatment and programs related to substance use. We are seeking to fill the Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) position.

The job duties include dispensing medication as ordered, providing health teaching surrounding medication side effects and how to manage the symptoms, maintaining transcription of orders and maintenance of medication records, collection of weekly assessments (vital signs and weights); equipment checks as assigned and other program needs.

Salary starts at $30.68 per hour.

Qualifications:

· Minimum 2-year diploma from a recognized Practical Nursing Program

· Current registration sand member in valuable standing with College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)

· Current liability insurance with RNAO

· Nursing experience (2 years preferred)



with one-year recent experience nursing within a specialized mental health and substance use setting in blended harm reduction and recovery-based setting.

· Possesses the capacity to carry out all essential duties of the position safely and effectively.

· Bilingual in French and English a definite asset
