Halibut House Fish & Chips in Brooklin/North Whitby is looking for a dependable and hardworking Cook to join our team. This position is ideal for someone who is interested in long-term employment with opportunities for growth.

Rate of Pay:
Starting Wage: $18/hour + Tips
After 3 Months: $19/hour + Tips
After 1 Year: $20/hour + Tips
Tips typically add an additional $5–$10 per hour

Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards
Assist with food preparation and kitchen operations as needed
Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment
Monitor inventory levels and restock supplies when required
Work collaboratively with team members to ensure efficient food production
Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace procedures
Help ensure consistent food quality and presentation

Qualifications:
Previous experience working in a restaurant kitchen
Knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food handling practices
Understanding of food safety and sanitation requirements




Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Experience:
Breakfast cooking experience
Fish & Chips cooking experience
