One of our clients in Pembroke, ON is seeking dedicated Machine Operators to join their production team. The successful candidates will operate shear and bending machinery to process reinforcing steel bars while assisting with material handling and other production activities. Crane operating experience is an asset/required depending on the assignment.

Responsibilities

· Identify and pick structural steel/rebar from warehouse racks to fulfill orders.

· Operate rebar bending machines to bend reinforcing steel bars to required shapes.

· Operate shearing machines to cut reinforcing steel bars to required lengths; training may be provided.

· Feed and unload material from processing machines.

· Operate an overhead crane to safely move and position rebar and materials.

· Assist process control and other machine operators as required.

· Perform basic machine checks and report any mechanical issues.

· Maintain a clean and organized work area.

· Follow all workplace safety procedures and wear required PPE.





· Assist with physical handling of products, materials, and equipment as required.

· Perform other production duties as assigned.

Requirements

· 1–2 years of experience operating shear and/or bending machines is preferred.

· Previous manufacturing, warehouse, or steel/rebar experience is an asset.

· Basic mechanical skills and knowledge of machine maintenance.

· Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and lift up to 30 lbs.

· Robust attention to detail and commitment to quality.

· Ability to work efficiently in a rapid-paced production workplace.

· Reliable, motivated, and willing to work as part of a team.

· Willingness to work overtime when required.

· Must be available to work the assigned day or night shift.

Pay: $19.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
