Senior Bookkeeper / Accounting Manager (Multi-Company, Hybrid) – Calgary, AB

Job Type: Full-time / Part-time

Location: Calgary, AB (Hybrid – mix of in-office and remote)

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Bookkeeper / Accounting Manager to oversee full-cycle accounting across multiple companies under one ownership group.

This is a hybrid role, requiring a combination of in-office presence and work from home. The position is best suited for someone who can work independently, stay organized, and take full ownership of multiple sets of books.

Key Responsibilities:
Full-cycle accounting across multiple companies (5+ entities)
Month-end and year-end close
Financial statement preparation and review
Cash flow management and reporting
GST filings and compliance
Payroll
Intercompany transactions and reconciliations
Coordination with external CPA for year-end and tax filings
Identifying inefficiencies and improving accounting processes

Requirements:
5+ years of progressive accounting / bookkeeping experience
Robust multi-company (multi-entity) experience is required




CPA designation or working toward CPA is strongly preferred
Advanced knowledge of Canadian accounting standards and tax requirements
High proficiency with QuickBooks and Sage 100 Contracfor
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and manage workload across multiple entities

Nice to Have:
Experience with owner-operated businesses
Construction, real estate, or wholesale industry experience
