Pay: CA$17.60/hour (Negotiable depending on experience)
Job Type: Part-Time (Monday–Friday)
Work Location: In-person (UofT Scarborough)
Positions Open: 2 Baristas

Shift Schedule (9:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
Morning Shift: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM (4 hours)
Afternoon Shift: 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM (4 hours)
Note: Shift assignments and hours will be finalized during scheduling.

About the Role Palgong Tea at UofT Scarborough is looking for 2 energetic team members to join us! If you love bubble tea and enjoy greeting customers with a bright smile, we would love to hear from you. As a barista, you will play a key role in making and serving high-quality drinks while creating a welcoming store environment. We are looking for candidates who can thrive in a rapid-paced environment, prepare beverages efficiently, and assist with light food prep (no cooking involved).

Key Responsibilities
Prepare and serve a variety of coffee, tea, and specialty beverages according to recipes and store standards.
Deliver exceptional customer service through friendly greetings, accurate order-taking, and helpful communication.
Operate the POS system for accurate transaction processing and cash management.




Maintain cleanliness and organization in beverage/food preparation areas and equipment.
Handle light food preparation while adhering to food safety guidelines.
Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
Manage time efficiently to serve customers promptly while maintaining high service quality.

Qualifications & Preferred Skills
Previous experience in food & beverage or as a barista is preferred (Beginners are welcome).
Strong time management skills to multitask effectively in a rapid-paced environment.
Basic arithmetic skills for accurate cash handling and order processing.
Knowledge of food safety standards and commitment to maintaining a clean workspace.
Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
Experience with POS systems is a plus (Training will be provided).
Adaptable availability for morning or afternoon shifts.
