Enhance client lives as a Life Skills Support Worker with CMHA-WECB's Protected Beds program. This temporary position focuses on housing assistance and life skills training during midnight shifts.
As a member of the CMHA-WECB team, you will be instrumental in supporting clients as they navigate their recovery journeys. This role involves conducting assessments, developing goal plans, and facilitating activities of daily living. Your engagement will be crucial in aiding community integration and providing necessary life skills education.
Key Responsibilities:
• Facilitate admission and orientation for clients • Support goal setting in mental health and housing • Deliver life skills training to clients in residential care • Connect clients with community resources • Maintain detailed records and reports for client interactions
Requirements: • Relevant two-year post-secondary diploma required • Understanding of mental health challenges and resources • Proficient communication skills, both written and spoken • Valid Ontario Driver’s License and access to a vehicle • Advanced level bilingualism considered an asset
