The Family School Liaison

Counsellor will support resolution of student challenges through skill-focused and strength-based interventions. This role requires an individual who can deliver effective one-on-one counseling while also working collaboratively with community services and school staff. The position follows the school calendar, requiring flexibility in hours worked to meet student needs. Key Responsibilities:

- Engage with students to implement skill-based interventions
- Offer tailored counseling for students and families




- Facilitate group counseling sessions and skill workshops
- Provide mental health presentations in classrooms
- Administer crisis interventions as necessary

Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or similar required
- Registration eligibility with Alberta professional bodies
- Preferred experience with youth counseling
- Understanding of trauma-informed care
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
