About the Role
The Company is in search of a Dean for its Faculty of Engineering, a pivotal role that demands a strategic and operational leader to champion excellence in engineering education, research, and industry engagement. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development of high-quality, transformational teaching and research experiences, as well as cultivating industry partnerships. This role also involves supporting the Faculty's growth and impact, maintaining strong accreditation compliance, and being fiscally responsible in resource stewardship. The Dean will be expected to be an active partner in philanthropy,
supporting the Faculty's strategic growth and community impact.
The ideal candidate for the Dean of Engineering position at the company is a committed, innovative, and collaborative leader with a distinguished record in engineering education and research. They should be a licensed Qualified Engineer in Canada, or have the ability to be licensed, and have a strong background in academic administration, preferably in a multi-campus setting. The role requires a visionary who can foster cross-disciplinary curriculum development and is dedicated to making a significant contribution to the communities served by the Faculty. The candidate should be an effective communicator, adept at building sustainable relationships with regional, national, and international partners, and be a passionate advocate for the values of the engineering profession.
