The Cultural Resource
Coordinator reports directly to the Director of Child Care Services. This position involves delivering cultural teachings, organizing healing ceremonies, and facilitating programs that promote emotional well-being. You will support children’s pride in their identity and heritage while advocating for families in a culturally rich environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate ceremonies and healing practices such as smudging
- Provide storytelling and guidance to children and families
- Educate staff on First Nations cultural protocols
- Develop culturally relevant programs with leadership approval
- Support families emotionally and through life skills coaching
Requirements:
- Solid knowledge of First Nations culture and history
- Valid CPR/First Aid certification
- Reliable vehicle and driver's license required
- Experience with children and special needs
- Strong communication and empathy skills
