The Opportunity
We are seeking a Customer Portal Coordinator to support the coordination and continuous improvement of our customer service operations. In this role, you will be responsible for updating and managing dedicated customer tracking portals, ensuring information is accurate, timely, and up to date.
In addition, you will act as a key liaison between Sales, Operations, and our overseas offices, facilitating effective communication and coordination to ensure a seamless customer experience and the successful execution of transportation services.
What You’ll Do
- Accurately enter data and provide timely shipment tracking updates.
- Take appropriate corrective action to resolve any errors or omissions.
- Deliver exceptional customer service as the primary point of contact for VIP clients and internal stakeholders.
- Collaborate with import/export staff, sales teams, and the department manager to ensure shipment information is accurate and communicated on time.
- Proactively follow up with carriers to monitor and confirm shipment status.
- Maintain a strong understanding of Incoterms and their application.
- Effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
- Foster a safe workplace by adhering to all safety policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Promptly report any unsafe conditions or activities to management and/or Human Resources.
- Stay current on regulatory changes and demonstrate leadership by sharing knowledge, skills, and best practices with others.
- Train and mentor junior staff while coaching employees on the accurate handling of designated accounts.
- Carry out all other job-related duties as assigned by management.
What You Bring
- Formal academic training in international transportation or a related field from a two-year college or technical school, and/or 3 to 5 years of related experience and training.
- Ability to read, analyze, and respond effectively to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, and members of the business community.
- Strong written communication skills, with the ability to prepare speeches and articles that adhere to established styles and formats.
- Ability to effectively present information to senior management, public groups, and/or the Board of Directors.
- Proficiency in calculating figures and amounts, including discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency with email, record management systems, databases, word processing, spreadsheets, graphics, and other standard business applications.
Compensation: Salary range starting from $40,000 to $50,000 per year, with opportunities for growth and advancement based on performance and contribution.
