D-Wave is looking for a Software Developer II to enhance our Processor Software team. This role focuses on developing software that supports quantum processor calibration and hardware interfacing in both lab and production settings. As a Software Developer on this interdisciplinary team, you will work closely with engineers, scientists, and physicists.
Your contributions will impact the core functionality of our quantum computing system, especially in calibration and system testing using Common Lisp. Collaboration and problem-solving skills are essential for success in this agile role. Key Responsibilities:
Contribute to the full software life-cycle from development to deployment
Collaborate on software for quantum processor calibration and testing
Enhance software reliability and maintainability through documentation
Maintain custom-built tools for seamless hardware-software interaction
Participate in on-call rotation for QPU solver support Requirements:
Bachelor’s in engineering physics/computer science with 2+ years software experience
Proficient in hardware interfaces and working in Linux
Experience with Git including pull requests
Solid collaboration and communication skills
A passion for learning and problem-solving Leverage your software development skills to help advance quantum computing technology at D-Wave.
