Support communication and daily living for deafblind individuals at Sensity in Cambridge, Ontario. This part-time role offers a chance to make a real difference through dedicated client care and empowerment.
Join Sensity as a part-time Intervenor and help individuals with dual sensory impairment live independently. You will provide personal support, communicate effectively using various techniques, and assist clients in achieving their personal goals. This role is ideal for compassionate individuals committed to community service and personal development.
Key Responsibilities:
• Facilitate communication with clients in various settings
• Assist clients in personal hygiene, meal preparation, and more
• Support the development of individual goals and objectives
• Participate in program development and implementation
• Maintain accurate documentation of client interactions
Requirements:
• Completion of relevant diploma or certificate program
• Experience with mental health conditions considered an asset
• Proficiency in ASL or SEE preferred
• Must hold a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle
• Robust communication skills in English, both verbal and written
