New Gold is seeking a motivated Metallurgist to be part of our dedicated team at the Current Afton Mine. In this role, you’ll be responsible for improving process efficiency, performing metallurgical accounting, and utilizing mineralogical data effectively. Collaboration with operations and maintenance teams will be crucial to drive improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure safety in all metallurgical activities
• Identify and coordinate capital improvement projects
• Generate timely metallurgical accounting information




• Forecast production and financial models support
• Assist in optimizing concentrator performance
Requirements:
• Degree in Mining, Mineral Processing, or Chemical Engineering
• At least one year of processing experience
• Proven leadership ability within teams
• High proficiency in MS Excel analysis
• Previous involvement with process control technologies
