Elevate First Nations justice priorities as a Senior Policy Analyst with the Assembly of First Nations (AFN). This full time role involves research, analysis, and strategic policy development. As the Senior Policy Analyst for Justice, you will lead initiatives focusing on First Nations justice, including policing and legal reform.
Your expertise will guide the creation of policies that reflect First Nations perspectives while contributing to national advocacy efforts. Engage with stakeholders to address critical justice issues and maintain vital information repositories. Key Responsibilities:
Gather and analyze justice statistics and qualitative data
Develop and promote First Nations-led justice policies
Make impactful policy recommendations and updates
Maintain relevant datasets and information repositories
Contribute to strategic planning aligned with First Nations priorities Requirements:
Post-secondary degree in relevant field
Minimum 5 years’ experience in First Nations policy analysis
Demonstrated ability in report writing and stakeholder engagement
In-depth understanding of First Nations justice issues
Excellent verbal and written communication skills Make a positive impact on First Nations communities through dedicated policy analysis and advocacy.
