Accountant role focuses on tax preparation and client engagement in a supportive setting. VAPC seeks a seasoned Senior Accountant to enhance its team in Toronto, Canada. You will drive tax return preparation for both corporate and personal clients, including U.S. returns. Your expertise will also involve mentorship, tax audits, and helping junior staff while managing multiple engagements seamlessly. Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and review corporate income tax returns (T2)
Handle U.S. personal and corporate tax returns (1040, 1120, etc.)
Review various information returns, including T4s and T5s
Assist during CRA reviews and tax audits
Mentor junior accounting staff and provide guidance Requirements:
Minimum 5 years’ experience with a CPA firm
U.S. tax experience required
Proficient in accounting software like QuickBooks
Robust project management skills
