This role is a Staff-level individual contributor position within the Security Engineering team, focused on ••••••••• Control, a security platform that helps protect our policyholders from cyber crime. You’ll own critical backend services end-to‑end, have broad autonomy to shape technical direction and will serve as a technical multiplier for the broader engineering team. Proven experience as a backend engineer designing and building distributed systems and cloud-based services in production. Demonstrated technical leadership, including influencing architecture, setting technical standards, enabling other engineers, and collaborating effectively across teams. Robust proficiency with AI workflows, Python/FastAPI ,

TypeScript/Node.js ,

or a similar modern backend language and framework. Experience with React.js is a plus. Hands‑on experience designing, implementing, and maintaining APIs, as well as integrating with third‑party APIs or platforms. Solid understanding of security concepts and practices, with experience in a cybersecurity domain is a plus, but
